Chrysler Planning to Launch New Hybrid Vehicles
Though a bit slow to jump on the hybrid bandwagon, auto-manufacturer Chrysler is entering the fray with two new hybrid models. The 2009 Dodge Aspen and 2009 Dodge Durango Hemi represents Chrysler’s first in what has been hinted may be a line of HEV vehicles to come.

The two vehicles will feature new powertrain technology being referred to as “Two node”. The technology was developed in a joint venture with General Motors, BMW, and Daimler AG, Chrysler’s German partner. The “two node” powertrain promises to significantly improve gas mileage in it’s vehicle which, say Chrysler officials, offers a distinct advantage over current hardware such as the Synergy Drive System used in Toyota’s Prius sedan.
